Intelligent smart glasses or goggles or Eye Glass or Personal Digital Imaging System is a wearable computer that reality or add information to actually help people see better. This is usually achieved through head-mounted display optics (OHMD) connected to the internet or computerized glass with transparent head-up display (HUD) or augmented reality (AR) overlay that has the ability to reflect projected digital images as well as allowing the user to see through it, or look better with it (for example, Augmented Reality). While early models can perform basic tasks, such as display only serves as a front end to a remote system, such as in the case of smart glasses technology utilizing cellular or Wi-Fi, a modern smart glasses effective wearable computer that can run standalone mobile applications. Some hands-free that can communicate with the Internet through a natural language voice commands, while others use the touch buttons.
Smart glasses such devices may include features such as the camera, accelerometer, thermometer, altimeter, barometer, compass, chronograph, calculators, cell phones, GPS navigation, map display, graphical display, speaker, scheduler, watches, SD card which is recognized as a mass storage device by a computer, and a rechargeable battery. It may communicate with a wireless headset, head-up display, a microphone, a cellular modem, or other device.
